These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of modcov. Please read them before using the Service.

Acceptance

By accessing or using modcov, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for an organization or team, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old or have reached the minimum legal age required in your location, whichever is higher. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the Service operator's principal place of business, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you under local law.

The Service

modcov provides public AI tools and a signed-in SaaS workspace. Available tools may include text rewriting, summarization and translation; image generation, editing and analysis; document processing; research and question answering; chat; and related workflows.

Features, models, limits, and credit costs may change as the Service develops. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service. These Terms do not create a service-level or uninterrupted-availability commitment.

Accounts

Some features require an account. modcov supports email login, magic links, and passkeys through Better Auth, as well as organizations and teams. You must provide accurate account information, keep access to your account secure, and promptly report suspected unauthorized use.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for assigning appropriate access within an organization or team. You may not share authentication links or credentials in a way that compromises account security or use another person's account without authorization.

Credits, Plans & Payments

modcov offers prepaid Credits and may offer subscription or lifetime plans. Prices, included benefits, credit charges, renewal terms, and other purchase conditions are those displayed when you purchase or use the applicable offering. Credits are deducted according to the published cost of a tool run.

Stripe processes payments. modcov does not store complete payment card numbers. Monetary refunds are handled under the refund policy published for the applicable purchase; these Terms do not create a separate refund period or guarantee. If a tool run fails, the Credits charged for that failed run are returned in accordance with modcov's published Credit policy.

You are responsible for applicable taxes or charges presented as part of the purchase process and for keeping your billing information with the payment processor current.

Acceptable Use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • submit, generate, or distribute content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
  • use the Service for illegal, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity;
  • attempt to bypass access controls, authentication, credit charges, usage limits, safety measures, or other technical restrictions;
  • interfere with the Service or use automated means in a way that disrupts its operation; or
  • use audio, image, video, document, or other media tools on material unless you own it or otherwise have the rights and permissions required to process it.

You are responsible for the legality of your inputs, instructions, and use of outputs. We may restrict content or activity that violates these Terms or applicable law.

User Content & Generated Output

You retain your rights in text, images, documents, audio, and other material that you submit ("User Content"). You grant modcov the limited permission needed to host, store, transmit, and process User Content to operate the Service and generate the result you request, including transmission to third-party AI model providers.

As between you and modcov, the right to use generated output belongs to you, subject to applicable law and any third-party rights. You are responsible for reviewing output and confirming that your intended use is lawful, accurate where necessary, and does not infringe another person's rights. AI-generated output may be similar to content generated for others and may not qualify for intellectual-property protection in every jurisdiction.

Intellectual Property

modcov, including its software, interface, branding, documentation, and original site content, is protected by intellectual-property laws and belongs to the Service operator or its licensors. Except for the limited right to access and use the Service under these Terms, no rights in the Service itself are transferred to you.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or reverse engineer protected parts of the Service except where modcov expressly permits it or applicable law allows it.

Disclaimers

The Service and its outputs are provided on an "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. AI-generated or AI-assisted output may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, outdated, or unsuitable for your purpose. You must review important results rather than relying on them without independent judgment.

modcov does not provide legal, medical, financial, tax, or other professional advice. Tools that review contracts, documents, research, or other specialized material provide informational assistance only and do not replace advice from a qualified professional. modcov does not warrant that the Service will always be available, error-free, or suitable for a particular outcome.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service operator and its licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service or its outputs. Responsibility for direct loss is limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law; these Terms do not set a fixed monetary liability cap.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or any mandatory consumer right.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account through the available account controls. When an account is deleted, AI history, media, inputs, and outputs are removed first; billing records required by law are retained only with minimum fields.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address a violation of these Terms, unlawful activity, security risk, non-payment, or a legal requirement. Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination, including intellectual-property protections, disclaimers, and lawful limits of liability, will continue to apply.

Changes

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service or applicable requirements. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Updated Terms will be posted on this page and apply from their stated effective date. Where applicable law requires separate notice or consent, we will follow that requirement.
