What is AI Image Detector?

AI Image Detector is not an active image analyzer. The release gate requires evidence across generators, cameras, screenshots, recompression, crops, overlays, and mixed edits before any estimate can be shown responsibly.

Abstract image classification gate with a closed indicator.

A screenshot can erase the signal a classifier expects.

Origin claims need provenance and human review; visual artifacts alone are too fragile for a launch claim.

How to use AI Image Detector

  1. 1

    Keep images private

The closed gate accepts no files while validation remains incomplete.

  2. 2

    Measure edit sensitivity

Crops, overlays, filters, and resaves need separate synthetic controls.

  3. 3

    Compare with provenance

Source records remain stronger evidence than visual artifacts.

Examples

Compression boundary

A synthetic image saved at several compression levels.

Unavailable until recompression effects are calibrated.

Use cases

Future provenance review

One possible signal beside source records and human inspection.

Recompression benchmark

Track error changes across common social and messaging encoders.

Mixed-edit study

Evaluate images combining camera regions and generated regions.

Why use AI Image Detector?

No file transfer

The upload control stays disabled and no media service is contacted.

Compression-aware release gate

Launch requires measured behavior after resizing and resaving.

Identity-safe scope

The proposed classifier never performs face matching.

FAQ

Can a generated image be identified with certainty?

No. Resizing, screenshots, filters, and mixed editing can alter signals, and a classifier estimate would not prove origin.

Are screenshots equivalent to original files?

No. Screenshots can change resolution, metadata, color handling, and compression artifacts.

Will the closed page accept an image?

No. The upload control remains disabled during calibration review.

Can this identify a person?

No. Face recognition and real-person identification are outside the boundary.
